Learn about the most recent improvements to Olive.

We've been hard at work pushing out tons of updates to Olive. Here are the core ones:

  • A new query agent in our pipeline with much better understanding of your database and better testing ability.

  • Hover over a message to fork your app from that response and create a clone of your tool from that point in time.

  • VPC support for connections through a bastion host, in addition to SSL support.

  • Code edits: View tool code and make code edits.

  • Ask mode: Select "Ask" in an app chat window to ask Olive questions about your tool without creating edits.

  • Database permission customization: When connecting a database, you can now specify the level of access (read-only, write but no-delete, and full).

  • Olive can now infer the business context of your database from your schema to generate better tools with more context on your business. You'll see this popup when connecting a new database. Database context can be edited from the data sources tab.

We're also happy to share that we're now SOC 2 Type 2 compliant.

You can now generate an API Key for your Olive account. For custom use cases where you'd like to integrate your dashboards into your own applications, our team can walk you through how to utilize this API key.

When building data-connected internal apps is easy, teams can come up with tons of new ideas for tools. Olive will now generate significantly better, richer suggestions for tools around your specific data.

Olive is now SOC 2 Type 1 compliant! We are also in the observation period for SOC 2 Type 2 compliance and hope to receive the certification in the coming months. You can view our trust portal here to request access to the compliance report.

You can now archive linked databases on your organization by hovering over a database in the Connect tab. Note that if you'd like to permanently delete your data on Olive, you can reach out to us at privacy@fromolive.com.

Olive now supports organizations so you can share tools across your organization and collaborate as a team.

You'll see this during the onboarding experience, and find options to add members to your organization by selecting Organization Settings → Members.
